Isaiah 9:6

'For to us a child is born,
to us a Son is given,
and the government shall be upon His shoulder,
and His name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.'

Crying

Crying. Yep. I was just cutting onions and was tearing up so bad! Here's a tip. When the onions are getting to much for you; stick your face in the freezer and blink. In a few minutes it will feel better! This was random tip time with EMILY WARDWELL. Thanks for reading.

Last April the Denny's went on a trip so we watched Bell while they were gone.
I thought these two pictures of them were so cute.

God, give us men!

God, give us men! by Josiah Gilbert Holland

'God, give us men! A time like this demands
Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands;
Men whom the lust of office does not kill;
Men whom the spoils of office can not buy;
Men who possess opinions and a will;
Men who have honor; men who will not lie;
Men who stand before a demagogue
And 'omitted' his treacherous flatteries without winking!
Tall men, sun-crowned, who live above the fog

For while the rabble, with their thumb-worn creeds
Their large professions and their little deeds,
Mingle in selfish strife, lo! Freedom weeps,

Wrong rules the land and waiting Justice sleeps.'
Thank God for men that have stepped up to their duty
and are fulfilling their God given roles.
Happy Independence Day!

Men and Tools

So a few days ago I got a glimpse into the life of men and tools. My father and the pastor were trying to take apart the ping-pong table in our basement. Well my dad asked me to go the barn and get a ratchet set, and then described it for me. Well I went to the barn and could not find a plastic case that fit the description. So I walked to the top of the bulkhead and called down. 'Dad?! What's a ratchet?' This caused some laughter down there. And eventually the case was found after I came down and started helping again. My dad found it eventually. But it proved what I know about tools. Not much.

A Pic of Addy

I took this picture at my Aunt Dottie's birthday party.
That is my Aunt Pattie's dog T.J.
I'll let you decide what Addy is thinking. Post a comment if you want to tell me what you think she is saying in her head. It would be funny to see what you all think.

Whasup.

What I am doing right now in my life. Driver's Ed. That tell you anything of how busy I am? We have classes three days a week and also drive a few times a week. But this week our instructor is going on a trip so we get the rest of the week off! Yeah! :D John and I are taking it together. It has shown me how blessed I am to have parents who want to teach me themselves and care about what I am exposed to out in the world. I am so thankful that I am not in a public school. I am also blessed by how John is such a gentleman. I am hoping that perhaps by how we act and treat each other we will be a witness to the other kids. Besides Dr. ed. I still have school and over three projects going at a time which is no surprise to those who know me well. ;) I realized today that in one week I will be seventeen. Ever since I was twelve I have been waiting to be that magical number sixteen. I thought I would be so grown-up. But with greater age brings more responsibility and more things expected of you. In some ways I am no farther then I was last year. But in other ways I am. Time marches on and does not wait for us. Seeing all the events of last year dare I ask, 'What will this year bring?'

Something Funny!

So my Grandmother brought over a little story. I don't know where she got it or who wrote it but it is so funny that I decided to put it on my blog. 'A father was approached by his small son who told him proudly. "I know what the Bible means!" His father smiled and replied. "What do you mean, 'you know what the Bible means?" The son replied, "I do know!" "Okay", said his father. "What does the Bible mean?" "That's easy, Daddy." The young boy replied excitedly. "It stands for 'Basic Information Before Leaving Earth.' I thought that this was funny and hope you all enjoy it.

Have you ever?

Okay so I just now getting over feeling sick. Still a little down, but getting better. Anyway, I have been feeling a little hyper. I know that Hannah can get hyper and just downright funny to watch and listen to after she's been sick. But I never realized that I get like that. But seriously I feel like jumping up and down or singing at the top of my lungs or getting together with a bunch of girls and being goofy. (Not that doesn't happen even when I'm not hyper.) But I guess you could also attribute it to cabin fever. I am so sick of snow. But very happy with the fact that it was snowing this morning and it has stopped and all the snow that fell has retreated. YES! But to get back on track (as most of you know it is very easy for me to get off track) my question is, have you ever gotten hyper after getting sick? It's interesting because most people will feel better and then go and do stuff and end up feeling worse after-wards. So I am trying not to do to much. Hmm... maybe I should go run laps around the house. (Yeah-right!) Have a blessed day!

Just Smooch

So lately my life has mostly composed of school, school, and oh yeah more school. But I wondered something today while I was playing with my fish. Do fish get headaches? See, Smooch head-butts the jar trying to get at your fingers. Even now he is staring at me. It is hilarious to see him flick over sometimes to watch movies on the computer. And if I play music and dance my fingers in front of him; he really does react! (most of the time) Of course it is usually when people aren't looking. Why is that? Well anyway Smooch is doing great; he eats a ton everything I give him! Little pig. He is watching me type! And he watched the little spinner thing that was on the loading sign for the upload image. Well I have to go, have a blessed day!
